La Rioja reports two new deaths and adds 285 new infections

La Rioja has reported this Friday two new deaths from coronavirus in a day in which healthcare pressure drops slightly, with three fewer admissions, to 232, although the ICU adds two new ones, with 52 admitted. For their part, active cases have increased from 2,898 to 3,030 (132 more).

In addition, our autonomous community has added 285 new infections this Friday in 24 hours. Since the start of the pandemic, a total of 25,224 people have suffered from the disease in our region.

According to data provided by the Government of La Rioja, the Email Marketing List deceased are two elderly men, with risk factors, who did not live in a nursing home.

Thus, since the beginning of the pandemic, a total of 638 people have died in La Rioja with COVID-19. Of this figure, 287 belonged to senior centers.



For its part, healthcare pressure has decreased for the third consecutive day and today Rioja hospitals have 3 fewer admissions. In total there are 232 COVID patients admitted between the ward and the ICU.

In the case of the San Pedro de Logroño Hospital there are 161 people admitted to the ward with coronavirus (two less than yesterday) while the ICU has 52 admitted (two more than yesterday).

Currently, and given the evolution of the virus in our region, the Government of La Rioja has increased the number of beds available in the ICU to 68. Therefore, in view of the new units and adding those patients admitted for Non-Covid pathologies (6 today, one less than yesterday), the Riojan ICU is at 75.03 percent, one point more than yesterday.
